About The Artist
Marcus “Shmoody” Moody is one of the youngest Black men to bring his own orchestra to the John F. Kennedy Center. They won the university of maryland’s Battle of the Bands to open for T-Pain and Lil Dicky, were AFROPUNK semi-finalists, and broke records at the Kennedy Center and National Arboretum. since then, He’s worked with VICELAND, Tyler the Creator’s GOLFMEDIA, a James Beard Award nominated restaurant as Music Director, Resy, and more. after two years in mexico, he sold out his first solo performance at a residential art gallery in san miguel de allende, returned to the states in 2023 where he was awarded an artist residency in denver’s rino art district a year later. after raising over $200k for local agriculture, shmoody is returning to the arts as a solo act with a vault full of stylistic music that rouses your heart strings with attempts at new classics.
